Turn The Party Out/Rock N Drop(7”) – RR003 released August 22 2022

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, it’s a real honour when I get approached to do a review and is an absolute pleasure to do it for a fellow Forty Five Kings Collective member and a label that I have come to love.
This new release by Regulate Recordings features Dj Deviant and he brings the party big time, just like it says on the label!!
Regulate Recordings were also kind enough to send me a Test Press to review and hear in its full glory, as well as throw down at my gigs for the past week or so and the reception to it has been amazing to say the least!
The first review I ever wrote was for Regulate Recordings first release and I have now had the opportunity to review all 3 releases on the label so far, so delve in for the goodness…
The Review
Side 1: Turn The Party Out
Like it says on the cover, after hearing this I did exactly that!
It’s a big big tune and bangs straight from the start, it’s message is clear, this is a party anthem for the breakers, party shakers and dj party makers.
I can hear so many funky samples that are put together beautifully, I mean is that Rocksteady and Bodyrock in there amongst the Beastie Boys and so many others.
This is cut n paste mastery and harks back to an earlier period of edits while being produced and mastered for a 2022 dance floor.
Everyone who reads my reviews knows I think Edits are great if they bring something new to a familiar set of sounds and makes you want to add them to your party bag and this is another example of that happening.
Well produced, classic sounding but updated for the party people.
Order directly from Regulate Recordings or in Australia/NZ/ Pacific from Dr Diggins
Side 2: Rock N Drop
Dj Deviant brings the goods once again for this incredibly good B Side.
He keeps it party but more ‘underground’ and it kind of reminds me of earlier warehouse parties pre-rave and also the start of the cut n paste and big beat eras, so yeah it has all of the elements that appeal to a big late night dance floor or those getting home from the party, but who still need the beats tight for the after party at home!
Tight production, nice and loud mastering and another great double sided 45 that will appeal to many.

Dr Diggns is the distributor of this label in Australia/NZ and this release is live for Presale on his website right now!!!
Truthfully the good Dr has been saving Australian Djs a bundle on postage and tax over the past couple of years.
He also ships internationally and stocks a whole bunch of other Labels such as Dusty Donuts and Private Stock Records, as well as a great lineup of Japanese used 45s and cool Merchandise.
If you’re in Australia/NZ you can order from the mighty Dr Diggins!!
